WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY?

Payment: To register for any class, payment in full is required at the time of registration. Refunds & Transfers: A full refund will be issued if Gather Culinary cancels your course. All registrations are non-refundable. While we cannot offer refunds, we understand that plans can change. You're welcome to transfer your registration to another person - simply email us at hello@gatherculinary.com with their details at least 24 hours before the class. In the event of inclement weather, classes will be rescheduled and all registrations will be honored for the makeup date.

DO I NEED TO SIGN A WAIVER TO TAKE A CLASS?

Waiver Requirement: All students must have a signed waiver before participating in any kitchen activities. Students 18 and over: Sign your own waiver. Students under 18: Parent or legal guardian signature required. Waivers are valid for one calendar year. No exceptions: Students without signed waivers cannot participate.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK A CLASS?

For private classes, booking windows vary by day: Due to high demand, private class availability typically books: Weekends (Friday-Sunday): 8 weeks out. Weeknights: 4-6 weeks out.

WHAT IS YOUR PRIVATE CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY?

Private Class Cancellation Policy: Classes are non-refundable but transferrable. Classes do not expire. Date changes with 48+ hours notice: No penalty, can reschedule based on availability. Less than 48 hours notice: 50% of class fee forfeited, remaining balance can be applied to future booking. No-shows: Full payment forfeited.

MY CHILD HAS NEVER COOKED BEFORE. CAN THEY TAKE A CLASS?

Yes, absolutely! Our classes are designed for all skill levels, including complete beginners. We teach fundamental kitchen safety and basic cooking techniques in a supportive, hands-on environment. Every student starts somewhere, and we're here to help build their confidence in the kitchen.

WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD BRING TO CLASS?

What to Bring to Class: A reusable container for taking home prepared food. That's it! We provide all cooking equipment and supplies needed for class.

WILL MY CHILD EAT DURING CLASS?

Snacks will be provided in the after-school classes. Students bring home food they prepare in afterschool classes. Please send a take home container so your child can bring food home. Students prepare and eat lunch and dessert in the summer camps plus all leftovers are distributed among campers to take home and share with their families.

No, our camps are designed as weekly programs and are not available for single-day registration. Each day builds upon skills learned throughout the week, creating a comprehensive cooking experience.

Classes are drop-off only to create the best learning environment. During the class time, parents might enjoy: Ridge Hill Shopping Center. Vernon Hills Shopping in Eastchester.

Arrival & Pickup Times: Please observe our schedule to ensure a smooth class experience: Drop-off: Up to 10 minutes before class start time. Pickup: Within 10 minutes of class end time. Punctual arrival ensures students get the most from their cooking experience, and timely pickup helps us prepare for our next class.
