Kitchen Passport: Lebanon
December 12, 10AM-1PM, Ages 8-13
Service Description
Lebanon's food is generous, ancient and alive with flavor - fresh herbs, bright citrus, warm spice and techniques that have been passed down through families for thousands of years. Young chefs will shape and bake kibbeh, the beloved spiced meat and bulgur dish that is the heart of Lebanese home cooking. We'll make mujaddara - lentils and rice crowned with deeply caramelized onions - and toss fattoush, the crispy bread salad that brings everything into balance with a hit of sumac and lemon. We finish with baklava, layering phyllo and nuts into one of the most iconic desserts the world has ever known. On the menu: • Kibbeh • Mujaddara • Fattoush • Baklava *(contains nuts)
