Stale Bread Is Not Dead

Service Description

Yesterday’s bread has a lot more life in it than most of us realize. In this 90-minute virtual class, we’ll use stale bread three completely different ways — as the heart of a soup, the body of a sauce, and the structure of a dessert. Cook along if you’d like, or simply watch, take notes, and ask questions. You’ll receive the shopping list and recipes one week before class so you can decide how much you want to prep and participate. We’ll make three recipes together, but this class is about much more than those three dishes. Each recipe is a way into understanding what stale bread can actually do — thicken, add body, create structure, and completely change texture — and we’ll talk through plenty of other ways to use it along the way. The goal isn’t just to leave knowing how to make pappa al pomodoro, romesco, and apple Charlotte. It’s to look at yesterday’s bread differently the next time you see it on your counter. On the menu: • Pappa al Pomodoro • Romesco • Apple Charlotte Bonus recipe: • Winter Panzanella
